I’m an established Canadian author in the world of international publishing, and I’ve got loads of experience to share with new, emerging and established authors. For more than a decade, I developed and lead University- and college-level courses, including several years of creative writing workshops. I additionally bring to my clients years of professional editorial experience on a wide array of topics.
I am a vetted member of both the Writer’s Union of Canada and the Quebec Writers Federation (QWF). I am also a member of the Romance Writers of America (RWA) within their Published Author Network (PAN).
Genres I have published in and/or are very familiar with include: Contemporary literature, fantasy (including urban fantasy and paranormal fantasy), science fiction, and romance. Manuscript Consultation
Manuscript evaluation services are kind of like hiring a personal “creative writing coach” who can help you take your manuscript to the next level. I offer partial and full manuscript evaluations, which may include line and developmental editing, as well as a full analysis on how your manuscript’s characters, plot, structure and writing style can be optimized, based on your project goals.
Developmental and line editing
Everybody needs an editor.
Developmental editing provides a “big picture” analysis of your manuscript’s success at meeting genre or market expectations, structure, that all-important alchemy of characters, and writing style.
Line editing, on the other hand, is a form of close editing (not the same as copy editing!) that evaluates and suggests changes to your sentence structure and style, to better fulfil your manuscript’s promise.
